Flowers Alerts

07 November 2017

We are starting to monitor the hydrangeas now and have seen the first 2 spotted mite. We last year noticed damage and die back on some flowerheads. This is possibly being caused by the Cyclamen mite. There is also some damage being seen from Aphid on the new shoots and flower buds.

20th September 2016

Very little will be happening in the flowers at the moment. Aphid and White fly could be about and possibly Leafroller.

19th January 2016

Hot dry weather is perfect breading conditions for 2 Spotted mite, particularly in the shade houses. Other insects that are around are Passionvine hoppers, White fly and Leafroller.

2 Spotted Mites

Mites will be making an appearance from now on and particularly as the weather gets warmer.
